This place is dire, dire, dire. Stagnant water by the pool, when we were there 24-10-2011 for one week, on one day there was poo floating in the pool.Lots of breeding grounds for mosquitoes. The problem with Lotus Suites is that this complex is well past its sell by date, it is old and run down and often many travellers will be confused with Lotus Resort and Lotus Suites, the former is a hotel like complex within the Lotus suites, the latter are privately owned flats and villas, many of these privately owned villas need serious updating and bringing up to date, but think about it, why should the local India who lives there and owns it bother with fancy upkeep and general exterior maintenance, he can barely manage his own maintenance. Thus the place takes on a run down look and feel, of course it is cheap, thus if you wish to have a no thrills cheap dwelling and roll out of bed and go to beach everyday, this is the place for you, otherwise avoid. I would avoid at all costs as I cannot trust the swimming pool water safety, the stagnant water beside the pool and general lack of care and upkeep, it is dire.

Everything is perfect except hotel. Lotus is a very old hotel. Not realy comfortable. Don`t have a renovation. I`ve been here 2 months ago.

Stayed here November 2008, good rooms, small balcony looking out ont front lane. Use of fridge/freezer on landing just outside our room doorway, great for an ice cold Honeybee at any time. Ha d a great time here will stay again November 2010.
